Little Dogs Enrichment
1. How it works ⬇
Our Enrichment Program
"Enrichment is the act of improving the quality of something. At Little Dogs we're improving the quality of life; your dog's life. What an amazingly privileged position we find ourselves in. We get to decide what sort of life our little companions get to live. Even through illness or predisposition, we still get to enrich their lives. We still get to do the best we can for them."†
Things to notice in this video...
✔ Look at how well the dogs pay attention to their leader (the alpha)...we call them pet care heroes.
✔ Did you notice what happened when our client handed off their dog?
✔ Yes, that's REAL grass!
You want the BEST for your dog...so do we!
Did you know...Modern dogs have a surprisingly difficult life due to us humans? Yes they get fed without having to hunt, but our dogs were designed to be in a pack and to roam freely. As they have become domesticated, we’ve removed the natural way of achieving two of their essential desires. This makes many dogs much more difficult (think "stressed") to live with than they otherwise would be.
Good News! At Little Dogs, we’ve solved this challenge. Over decades of hands on experience, we have developed a unique program of care that addresses both of your pup's essential needs and more. Learning how to interact with other dogs and humans, understanding boundaries, and learning to be an all around good companion is what we reinforce with our DaySchool and Enrichment Curriculum.
What would it feel like to know that every day of your dog's life they are getting expert care, attention, and guidance to live their BEST life?
Now that's a feeling we are passionate about!
According to Stanley Coren, a professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia and leading researcher on dog behavior, using adapted tests designed for human children, psychologists have learned that average dogs can count, reason and recognize about 250 different words and gestures on par with a human 2 -year-old. So we ask, why not give them a structured, fun day...just like we would with our human kiddos?
